Bestwick gets to show what she can do on the field in the states
While some people go to college in order to boost their educations, others care about the physical activity options. As many schools are offering scholarships to thriving high school seniors in various sporting activities, many students are taking advantage.
Nikita Bestwick was recruited to play for Emmanuel College's girls soccer team, the Lady Lions, according to the Great Lakes Advocate. However, Bestwick is heading to the Georgia institution from her native Australia after she was spotted by U.S. scouts.
It appears as though Bestwick had more than one option when approached by scouts, giving her the opportunity to look at other colleges.
"I had another offer to go to Oklahoma but I liked Georgia better, it sounded nice, so yeah I’m going to the South," she told the news provider.
School athletes may want to consider practicing Dahn Yoga in order to stay limber. According to the Mayo Clinic, yoga can help the body increase its range of motion and strength.
