Ilchi lee: A definition of success

What kind of success do I want? Sometimes we think like this. ‘In order to succeed, I have to compete or I have to endure a certain painful period. That is a time I feel unhappy or unhealthy because I cannot play, I cannot take enough exercises or I cannot do whatever I want for fun….’ But is that true? It could be for some successful people. But you can guess the answer. There are many people really enjoying their successful life while they are doing what they want within health and happiness. Because the true success is something we can enjoy together and the happiness becomes bigger and bigger the more we share with people.

While I’m writing this, I feel I need practice too. Because sometimes I try to do something just to look better to others. That’s why I’m doing a practice like ‘Brain Wave Vibration’ to make my goal bigger not just for me but all of us. We can recieve a great energy from the universe when we keep such a concept of success for all.

I remember one dialogue from the movie, ‘Spiderman’. In the movie, the uncle says to Spiderman, “A great power comes from a great responsibility”. Ilchi lee often says, there are not that big difference in people’s ability but just some difference in their belief and confidence. Let’s recover a true confidence within cosmic energy~

Wisdom From Dr. llchi Lee – Counting your blessings

From Ilchi Lee (Excerpted from Principles of Brain Management)

You have probably been told at some time in your life to count your blessings. But have you considered that everything in your life is a blessing? Think of a difficult period in your life that has passed or a giant obstacle you have overcome. Consider how that event was a blessing to you.

Ilchi Lee on solving problems from within

From Principles of Brain Management by Ilchi Lee.

Are there conditions in you life that your don’t like but that never seem to change no matter how hard you try to make them change? Quit trying to make them change. Instead, see how you can change yourself in relation to the problem. Yes, there are some truly intolerable situations that are genuinely beyond repair. In this worst-case scenario, you can resolve within yourself to leave the situation entirely. But most human problems are not so absolute. More than likely, even small changes that come from within you will completely transform your situation. They can change the way you communicate with others and help you reformulate your methods of coping with problems.

A Brain tip from Ilchi.com

Ilchi.com now has a daily Brain tip. Here is today’s.

Five foods that are good for your brain

There is a saying, “you are what you eat,” meaning that you have to eat good foods to stay fit and healthy. Your brain is what you eat, too, as studies show that smart food choices can fuel your brain and enhance learning and memory.

What are some smart food choices?

Antioxidants. Antioxidants, such as vitamins A, C and E, boost your brain and slow its degeneration by destroying free radicals. They are found in an abundance of foods, ranging from fresh fruits (blueberries, strawberries and raspberries, to name a few) to vegetables, beans and nuts.

Omega-3 fatty acids. Otherwise known as the “good fats,” the Omega-3 help to increase your cognitive functions and energy level. They are found in coldwater fish (salmon, trout, and tuna), avocados, nuts and olive oil.

Choline. Often grouped with the vitamin B family, this nutrient augments brain and memory development and is found in eggs, nuts and beef.

Whole Grains. The complex carbohydrates found in whole grains contain folate and vitamin B, which aid in improving memory function, as well as fiber, which helps to keep energy levels up.

Water. Staying hydrated keeps the brain alert and concentration in tact.

Keep in mind that how you eat is as important as what you eat. Small, regular meals are important. Even more important is that you prepare your food without depleting its nutritional value. Your brain will thank you.

Snowing in Atlanta

As I watch the snowfall here in Atlanta, I feel that heaven is sending the snowflakes to purify the earth. As I watch the snowfall from the window, my heart goes back to when I was a child watching in wonder at the rare southern snowfall. How beautiful.
